Terms of Service
Last updated September 2026. These terms apply when you browse, buy and read books on BooksOasis. Authors and publishers listing books are covered by the publisher terms.
1. Using BooksOasis
Anyone can browse BooksOasis. To buy, you need an account and must be old enough to make a purchase where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
2. Your account
Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for purchases made from your account. Tell us at support@booksoasis.com straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. Who you are buying from
Books on BooksOasis are listed by independent authors and publishers, who set their own prices. BooksOasis runs the store, takes payment and delivers your ebooks and print copies.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on each book's page. For print copies, shipping to your address is worked out and shown at checkout before you pay. Your order is confirmed once payment goes through.
5. Ebooks
An ebook you buy is added to your library straight away (or on release day for a pre-order) and is read in Oasis Reader, our reading app, on your own devices. Ebooks are not supplied as downloadable files. You get a personal licence to read the book; you may not copy, share, resell or publicly distribute it, or try to get around the protections that keep it in the app.
6. Print books
Print books are printed to order and shipped to the address you give at checkout, with tracking shown in your library. An order can't be cancelled once printing has started. See the Refund Policy for damaged, misprinted or lost copies.
7. Reviews
Reviews must be your honest opinion of a book. No fake reviews, reviews in exchange for payment or favours, spam, hate or personal information. We may remove reviews that break these rules.
8. Conduct
Don't misuse the store: no fraud, chargeback abuse, scraping, or attempts to access other people's accounts or files. We may suspend or close an account that does.
9. Disclaimers
Books are written by their authors, and their content is the author's responsibility. We review listings but do not guarantee that every book suits every reader.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, BooksOasis is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it.
11. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time by contacting support. Ebooks you bought stay readable in Oasis Reader until then. Closing the account ends access to them, and any wallet balance is lost, so use it first.
12. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use BooksOasis after a change means you accept the updated terms.
