Buying a book
Do I need an account to buy a book?
You'll create one at checkout if you don't already have one, just a name, email, and password on the same page. If you're already signed in, you skip straight to payment.
What payment methods can I use?
Checkout supports the payment methods available at the time, shown to you on the payment page before you confirm.
Can I buy the ebook and print edition of the same book?
Yes. A book's page lists every edition the author has made available, ebook, paperback, or hardcover, each with its own price. Buy any combination you want.
Ebooks
How do I read an ebook I bought?
It appears in My Library the moment payment clears. Tap Read now to open it in Oasis Reader, our reading app for phones, tablets and computers. Add it to your home screen and it works like an app, offline too. BooksOasis ebooks are read in Oasis Reader rather than downloaded as files, which protects the authors whose work you're buying.
What is a pre-order?
Some books are listed before their release date. You pay now, and the ebook unlocks in your library on release day.
Can I read my ebooks on more than one device?
Yes. Sign in to Oasis Reader on each device. Your books, highlights, notes and the page you're on follow you, and a book you open is kept on that device so it opens offline next time.
Print books
Do print books ship internationally?
Yes. You'll enter a shipping address at checkout for any print purchase.
How much is shipping?
It depends on where the book is going. Shipping is worked out for your address at checkout and shown before you pay.
How long does a print book take to arrive?
Each copy is printed to order, then shipped. Printing usually takes a few business days, and delivery time depends on your country. Tracking appears in your library once it ships.
Can I cancel a print order?
Only before printing starts. Email us as soon as possible with your order number, and if it hasn't gone to print we'll refund you in full.
How do I track a print order?
Open My Library and switch to the Orders tab, it shows real status from preparing through delivered.
